About Me

Who on earth is the host of the Create Wellness Project?  That would be me.

Hello!  My name is Elizabeth, your guide and fellow traveler.  I hold a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese medicine.

I’m a pale acupuncturist at Green Jade Acupuncture in a very sunny California. 🌻

I specialize in emotional health. Patients with depression, anxiety, low mood states and stress have more options then they realize. 🐞 Besides searching for shady trees, I also help my patients find their own road to wellness.

I hope you’ll join me as we explore the many paths to brighter living.

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.

A Few Things That Bring Me Joy

Writing whether it be journaling in French, scribbling in Spanish or sending a soft letter to a friend in need of sunshine.

I have enjoyed a journal practice for years now. It's often how I process life events.
Helping others help themselves.
Helping me figure out how to be me.

I'm recovering from a sustained illness that had me bedridden for a time and too weak to work for nearly 2 years. Even though I have a history of depression, chronic sadness didn't take hold this time. I attribute this to the many tools I've gathered over the years. I hope to share some of them with you.
Belly laughing with my friends, gasping at surprises, relishing my husband's quips, smiling at my kid's kindness, ant watching.

I don't take myself too seriously. Life is more fun that way!
Gently moving my body with long walks in the forest, slow runs, yin yoga, bike rides, living room dancing and lots of splashing in the pool.
Celebrating a body positive mindset.

I was not nice to my body in my teens and 20s.
There were hard words, cruel exercise and fad diets.
I practice kindness as living amends.
Learning about the miracle of the human brain,
my inner workings and other curiosities.
I am courageous.
I'm okay with making mistakes.
I remain curious about life lessons.
Meditation in the morning.
Experiencing gratitude during an embrace.
Mindfulness while washing dishes.
Being present while seated on the grass.
Saying thank you before I fall asleep.
